RSI provides its innovative technology based M&E services in to development intervention in the areas of agriculture and economic growth, governance and rule of law, education, gender and women empowerment, and security and stability.

Agriculture & Economic Growth

More than 80% of Afghanistan population primarily relies on agriculture as their livelihood and key household income source. Improving prospects for economic growth and rural livelihoods is central to the fight against poverty. Project, policies, and regulations that support a conducive environment for business, investors and trade, infrastructure, access to and information about markets and the availability of financial services are critical factors underlying economic growth. RSI works to strengthen programs in economic growth and poverty reduction. RSI’s approach develops the capacity of its clients and key stakeholders to better design and implement polices and projects that shape and improve livelihoods of rural population.

Range of Services

  • Household Livelihoods -strengthening programs, policies and organizations to improve livelihoods and reduce poverty at household level.
  • Access to Finance -supporting policy and institution for macroeconomic stability, private sector growth, and loan products for small and medium enterprises.
  • Rural Infrastructure -strengthening rural infrastructure policies, regulations and institutions, in support of economic growth.

Start-End Date: July 2014 – June 2019
Description of Activities: RSI is subcontract to DAI on USAID funded RADP-N project. RSI established the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) system for the program, and is also responsible for the implementation of this system. RSI’s qualified embedded team is on board to provide M&E support as needed.

Project Title: Monitoring and Evaluation Support to USAID/Regional Agriculture Development Program – North (RADP-N)
Start-End Date: July 2014 – June 2019
Description of Activities: As part of the Monitoring & Evaluation support to RADP-N, RSI conducted a comprehensive baseline [sample size=3,600 (35% women)] for RADP-N project in August – December 2014, and conducts annual surveys (sample size = 3,200 each) through its advanced technology to document and measure the changes in lives of beneficiaries.
